Q. How do I put the downloads into my game? A. You need WinZip to extract the files. You can download a free trial version of WinZip here. When you have Winzip installed, just double-click on the zip-file and either manually drag and drop the package files to your My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads folder, or select Extract and browse to the folder My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads. Objects, walls and floors can go into subfolders under the Downloads folder, but anything that affects a sim's looks, for example, clothing or eyeglasses, should stay in the main Downloads folder, unless you have the Nightlife explansion pack installed, in which case these files can go into subfolders, as well. |

Q. Why are my object recolors not showing up even though I have installed them into the right place? A. For some object recolors to work you need to have the Colour Options Enabler (CEP) installed. You can download it here. |

| Q.
Are your downloads compatible with the University and Nightlife expansion packs?
A. All of the object recolors have been created with SimPE version 0.15 or newer and should be expansion pack compatible. If an object recolor requires an expansion pack, it'll be mentioned on the download page. Walls, floors, clothing, genetics and everything else besides objects has been created with tools provided by Maxis and should be compatible. Objects with new meshes do not require an expansion pack unless otherwise mentioned. |
